Last year has seen a lot of major improvements to our product. In August we started with speeding up the site considerably. In November, we launched a new, sleeker design. Today we proudly announce two important improvements to our site: a new and improved Team Admin section, and a brand-new Billing Portal.

Up until today, we’ve concentrated our efforts to convince individual users to use start.me and this hasn’t changed one bit. At the same time, we’ve always known that start.me is also very useful for teams and larger organizations. We use it ourselves, every single day!

How to get to our new Team Admin

The new Team Admin is only accessible once you’ve created a team and shared a page. You can start a team for free.

Once you’ve started your team, you receive a period of 30 days to try it out. Thanks to our new Billing Portal, you can upgrade easily.

First, create a new team

  1. Go to the page you want to share with your team. This team may be your colleagues, your family, your friends, or any group with access to the internet. They should have a free start.me account.
  2. Click the Share button in the header.
  3. Now you see the Share pane. Click the ‘Create new team’ button.
  4. You will see a popup. Type the name of your Team to start your free 30-day trial.
  5. Click ‘Create team’ to confirm.

Then, invite members to your team

After creating your team, you go to the settings window of your team. Here you click the Members option, and ‘Invite members.’

You add a member by entering their email address, and confirm with ‘Invite members.’

Finally, share with ease!

Once you’ve made your team, you can click the Share button on any page you want to share, toggle the Share page with team option, select your team, and that’s it!

You can always unshare a page, with the same button.

Now that you’ve made a team and shared a page, you’re ready to take a look at our new Team Admin section.

Press the top-left Page button, scroll down to locate the Team you’ve just made, and click the Setting button.

Now you’ve reached the Team Admin section. The main improvement you’ll notice is the new design. We’ve simplified the options buttons to make it easier to navigate. We also improved the tools at your disposal to manage your team.

One feature we will highlight here is the brand-new Pages overview (Third option). When you click this, you’ll see a quick overview of all pages, their owners, the user roles for everyone with access, if it’s a public page, and finally when it’s last been updated.

To reveal the names of editors or followers, you hover over each number.

This is what you do:

  2. Go to Account details.
  3. Click the third option Billing.
  4. Click the final button Go to Billing Portal.

This button only works when you’ve upgraded your team, or when you’ve paid for a personal PRO subscription.
