Fresh new ways to show off your bookmarks
As you know we just can’t help ourselves: we have to improve your favorite bookmarks manager. Making your links easier to find, better to customize and more beautiful to watch: that’s our main concern. That’s why we’ve decided your trusty Bookmarks widget could be better. We are proud to present one of our biggest leaps forward yet. You’ll love it, just try it out.
New feature: display bookmarks as a cloud
We call this feature our Cloud Display and we think it’s a wonderful way to revamp your trusty bookmarks. Up until today, you had the choice to make them into a list with more or less emphasis on the icon. Now you can lose the icon altogether. And even better: you can even ditch the list! With our new Cloud Display, you get to rearrange your links in the form of a Tag Cloud.
This is how it works: just add a few favorites to one widget. Then click the pull-down icon in the righthand corner and select Settings. In the tab Advanced you can now select the option Cloud. You can also vary the icon size and decide how many bookmarks are visible all the time. Finally, click Done and enjoy!
Another new feature: bookmarks block description
A second improvement we’ve come up with is the possibility to add a little (or longer) description to the same Bookmarks widget. Especially if you share your links with friends or colleagues, this might come in handy.
You can give a little instruction, ask someone to add favorites before some date or add a comment. You might even use it as a little reminder note. Just don’t use it to jot down your passwords, if you share your page. Unless you want to, of course. In the description field, you can also use our handy markdown options, to make sure your information is clear and beautiful to look at.
Again click the pull-down icon and select Settings. When you type in the Description field, our intelligent Markdown compiler automatically formats your Bookmarks widget. You might end up with something like this:
