This morning around 9am CET one of our hosting providers experienced downtime issues. As a result, became unavailable for some users.

Tweaks and import/export

After yesterday’s big update, we received quite a lot of feedback. A lot of pleasant compliments, but some problems were reported as well. The issue most reported was about touch devices (tablets and smartphones). Because the new release allows dragging widgets and bookmarks without having to switch to edit mode, tablet users found themselves constantly dragging items, rather than simply scrolling the page.

BETA has been updated (after user feedback)

About three weeks we launched a new BETA version of That version featured an all new design and some cool new features. We were pleasantly surprised by the enormous amount of feedback we got! Most of the reactions were of the ‘I like it, but…’ kind. Today we are launching a new version of the BETA, in which a lot of the feedback from our users has been addressed. And we believe it got better because of it.

Chrome extension updated

For many, the browser extensions are the easiest way to quickly add bookmarks to their start pages. Today an update of the Chrome extension has been made available that will add a really cool new feature: adding RSS feeds. Finding the correct RSS URL for a news feed has always been a little tricky. The extension now recognizes the feeds available on the page you are currently visiting and will help you add those feeds to one of your feed widgets with one click.

New search bar live (BETA)

Today a much requested improvement has been deployed to the new BETA. The search feature has been mostly rebuilt and should now be more convenient than ever. Many users requested the search bar to be centered, much like in the old design. So that is where the search bar is: in the center, right below the header bar. We intentionally removed the search bar from the header, so that there would be room for an other new feature we are planning to deploy in the coming weeks.
